INGEMATION INGENIERÍA carries out FAT tests of the equipment developed for the García-Carrión biomass thermal generation plant in Huelva

This February, we have carried out the first Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) of the year. This is the Remote Control and UPS panels that we have developed, in collaboration with Enso Energy and Riello, for the new biomass thermal generation plant García-Carrión, in Villanueva de los Castillejos (Huelva).

The scope of our company is based on the supply and services necessary for the design and development of a “remote” control panel for the new biomass plant. That is to say, on the one hand, we have developed the engineering and design of the control panel for two motors; in addition to the supply of one hundred metres of fibre optic cable for signal collection and power supply of two centrifugal pumps.

On the other hand, we have proceeded to the design and production of the UPS panel, developed to ensure the continuity of operation even if there is a power cut, with autonomy of 48 minutes. This equipment is powered by a UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply System); the function of the UPS is to guarantee the connected equipment a perfect power supply voltage, with or without mains.

During the FAT, technicians from Enso Energy, Riello and our technical team were present. All the tested equipment has been developed by our company, considering each of the specifications and general indications of the customer.

The biomass plant, which is scheduled for commissioning at the end of the first half of 2023, will produce renewable thermal energy in the form of saturated steam and will have an annual consumption of approximately 10,000 tonnes of biomass. Each year, 50,000 tonnes of steam will be generated and the emission of more than 8,000 tonnes of CO2 into the atmosphere will be avoided.
