The team from Ingemation Ingeniería’s Integration and Control Department is participating in a new phase of iFAT (Integrated Factory Acceptance Test) testing in Aranda de Duero (Burgos), as part of a major project in the renewable energy sector.
During these validation sessions, the industrial communications, signals, alarms, operational statuses, and commands associated with the variable-speed drives were verified to ensure their proper integration with the control system and to guarantee the correct exchange of information between the various automation devices. In total, the operation of 244 variable-speed drives was successfully verified, with all of their signals and operating commands checked.
iFAT testing is a critical step in the development of industrial automation projects, as it allows for the validation of the joint operation of the various subsystems prior to on-site commissioning. This process facilitates the early detection of potential issues in a controlled environment, reducing risks and ensuring safer, more efficient, and more reliable operation. Additionally, it helps minimize on-site commissioning times by resolving potential integration issues in advance.
