The Ingemation Ingeniería team is carrying out integration tests in Sabadell

At Ingemation Ingeniería, we continue to build on our commitment to excellence in industrial automation and control. Recently, our colleagues Javier Domínguez and Jesús Álvarez, from the integration team, travelled to Sabadell (Barcelona) to carry out integration tests at the premises of a leading international manufacturer of industrial boilers.

The objective of the project was to conduct the iFATs (Integrated Factory Acceptance Tests), a key phase for validating the proper integration between two fundamental systems of the project: the Siemens PLC, responsible for local control, and the Honeywell-based DCS system, responsible for distributed monitoring and control.

To ensure robust communication between the two systems, the Modbus TCP protocol was used, a standard widely employed in industrial environments due to its reliability and efficiency.

During testing, the correct transmission and synchronization of all signals were verified, ensuring that the DCS system reflects the status of the boiler variables in real time. This aspect is particularly critical for ensuring safety and operational stability in highly demanding industrial processes.

The test results were positive, confirming compliance with the established technical requirements and quality standards, and marking a significant step forward toward the project’s commissioning phase.

These types of projects reinforce Ingemation Ingeniería’s ability to tackle complex projects, providing solutions that integrate technology, safety, and efficiency in demanding industrial environments.
